A note from the Co-Chairs...

Happy October! We have a very exciting month filled with lots of fun events.

Picture Days are this week! Please check your class emails and the schedule below. Retakes will be held November 13th.

We are starting to plan for the Halloween Parade. It will be an early morning for decorating, but the parade will be well worth it. Email Kristen Dolzynski (kristen.dolzynski@gmail.com) if you would like to volunteer!

Our Book Fair is around the corner! We are planning a kickoff meeting on Wednesday, October 16th at 9:30am. See below for more info and sign up!

Nathan Hale will be visiting the 4th & 5th grade on November 19th, order details to come later this week.

PICTURE DAYS ARE TIHS WEEK!!

School Pictures are scheduled for this Wednesday, October 9th and Thursday, October 10th.

Once again, the Todd Elementary School Picture Day Committee is pleased to partner with Irvin Simon Photographers for student pictures. After Picture Day is complete, parents will receive a code to view and order portraits. You can expect to receive the code within a few weeks and the entire ordering process is done online!

Below are some things to expect from this year's Picture Day experience:

Photos will be indoors

Paperless - orders placed online with a unique code for each child

What is the Reflections Program?

Each year, students in Pre-K through Grade 12 are invited to create and submit original works of art in the areas of Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography and Visual Arts. Students participate in the appropriate division for their grade: Primary (Pre-K - Grade 2); Intermediate (Grades 3-5); Middle School (Grades 6-8); High School (Grades 9-12).

What is the Reflections Program?

The search is on for the 2026—2027 Reflections Theme!

One theme idea will be selected by National PTA to spark fun and creativity during the 2026—2027 Reflections program. Entries are due by October 30, good luck! For more information please visit: https://nyspta.org/.../national-pta-reflections-program.../

The book fair returns to Todd School on November 4th - November 9th in the Multipurpose Room. More details to come over the next few weeks in this PTA newsletter, in standalone emails, and from your class parents.

There are many opportunities to get involved with the book fair this year. Please consider becoming a committee volunteer and join the committee co-chairs for a volunteer kick off zoom meeting on Wednesday, October 16th at 9:30am to learn more!

Students will eat lunch in the cafeteria each day. Students may bring lunch from home or purchase school lunch. Whitson’s School Nutrition is our food service company. FD Meal Planner is their mobile menu viewing platform. MY SCHOOL BUCKS is a computerized payment system that should be used to purchase school lunch. More information about FD Meal Planner and My School Bucks can be found on the LUNCH MENU tab of the school website.
