Hello Briarcliff Middle School Families!
The Bear2Bear club is an afterschool club that focuses on student leadership. Students become positive influencers by helping their peers make healthy choices by promoting substance use awareness and mental health awareness, but in fun ways, of course!
During our club time, we play games, do leadership building activities, collaborate with the high school’s Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) club, and plan school-wide events related to substance use and/or mental health. Examples of school-wide events include:
- Announcements
- Posting flyers
- Classroom activities
- Hosting an information/activity table during lunch periods
Each month focuses on a prevention theme and the club creates activities related to it.
Please talk to your child about joining the club! The club meets on Tuesdays after school in the Wellness Suite starting Tuesday, September 24th. The club is open to 7th and 8th grade students.
Fact Of The Week: The Bear2Bear Club often collaborates with the high school’s club called Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) to promote the awareness month to the Briarcliff school community.
